People with low vitamin D levels also have a higher chance of developing the condition. I think you can consider adding vitamin D supplements in your shopping list the next time, as a number of studies have shown that consumption of vitamin D from supplements can help reduce the risk of type 1 diabetes.

Several studies have shown that consumption of cow’s milk in toddlers may increase the risk of developing type 1 diabetes. Researchers believed that bovine insulin within cow’s milk was the key factor.
If you can not breastfeed your child and forced to use cow’s milk, then try to find insulin-free milks for your baby. This can help lower the risk of developing auto-antibodies.
