The 9 Ways to Relax at Home after Work without Alcohol

Hi my friend,

Are you currently feeling tired, stressed, angry or depressed because of your job?

High professional demands from the company you work for, unpleasant friends, its location far from home, low salaries, and many other causes.

I don’t know what your problem is, but I can understand your feelings, because I also have had some bad experiences at work. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

I hope this article can help you feel relaxed, comfortable and happy again at least at home, because some of these tips worked for me. ☺

Why should we relax at home without alcohol?

That’s because it’s not the right advice for general public. Everyone has a different reaction to alcohol, especially for beginners. Dizziness and nausea are some of the common problems that await you.

Surely you don’t want to have a few more problems, do you?

I also tend to drink and eat my favorite foods when under stress. I love cola and one can of cola is harmless, I think.

What is your favorite drink? It might help you cheer up a little.

There are 2 categories of ways to relieve stress after work:

1. Relax your mind
2. Relax your body

You need to focus on just one category depending on your preferences, but trying both is also okay, especially if you are very tired, stressed and depressed.

Let’s discuss the first way to relax at home after work

1. Relax your mind.

Since stress is a mental disorder, it will be more appropriate if you try to calm your mind for healing purposes, because stress in a long time can lead to serious health problems.

The ways you can do to relax your mind, including:

1. Sleeping

There is no stress and tired treatment as good as sleep. When you wake up from sleep, you will feel better.

But the problem is that if you think too much about your current condition, you will find it difficult to sleep. The next points aim to give you an idea of how you can go to sleep more easily.

2. Confide in other people about your problem.

We cannot hope for a solution from them. But, at least if you tell the problem you are facing, you will feel better.
Choose only those who can keep secrets as confidants. Your parents and spouse are the best choices.

If you think this idea suits you, then make an appointment first. We certainly expect someone who is willing to listen to our problems, not those who rush away.

3. Pray

Praying can also help you, especially when you don’t have a suitable confidant. It will give you a glimmer of hope in your despair, especially you can say whatever you feel and want for your future.

4. Listening to music

You can try listening to music to help you relax after a long day of work, especially when you are too tired to sleep.
Several types of music can help you relax, including:

Upbeat

Celtic

Instrumental

Nature sounds, like thunder or rain

5. Meditation

You can also do meditation to find your inner peace. I prefer to do it at night when everything is quiet.
If you’ve never done meditation, here are some simple steps you can take:

1. Sit in a comfortable place, keep your back straight, but don’t lean.

2. Close your eyes and breathe normally.
You can try the 4-7-8 breathing technique. You inhale slowly for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds.
3. Focus your mind only on your breath and avoid making too much movement.
4. You can also do meditation while listening to music like the previous tip to get better results.

6. Aromatherapy

It is common knowledge that aromatherapy with essential oils can help us relax and relieve stress.

There are many products on the market that you can try if you need one. Generally, this product works by evaporating it first for the fragrance we inhale.

The advantages of aromatherapy:
– Easy to use
– Large variety of fragrances to choose from
– Safe for health because it is made from plant parts, such as tree bark, flowers or leaves

The disadvantage:
– Essential oils are flammable

2. Relax your body.

There aren’t many things you can do at home after work to refresh your body.

7. Take a warm shower and eat your fill.

When you come home tired, try taking a warm shower. It will help your body feel refreshed and eat full so you can feel energized.

8. Drink hot beverages, such as herbal tea or milk

If you don’t like to eat late at night, then try drinking a cup of warm milk. It can help you satisfied until morning and go to sleep easier.

9. Get yourself a good massage.

You will definitely like this idea.

After bathing and eating, what you need next before going to bed is a good body massage. The right massage can relieve soreness, fatigue, and stress from your body.

You don’t have to worry about the idea of hiring a masseuse to your home. Now, there are various electric massagers available that you can buy according to your finances and needs.

Finally, if you’re still desperate. You may need advice from Professor Charles – “We need you to hope again”.
