Everyone definitely wants to have an ideal body shape, including teenagers. By recommending a weight loss calculator for teenagers, so they can easily perform a basic calculation on the number of calories they need to burn, intake and the time required. Even so the calculator can also be used by adults to maximize the results of their weight loss program.
The key to successful weight loss is burn more calories than the amount of calories intake to the body. That can be done by eating less or double your workout.
How to do the calculation manually!
Step 1. Find out the amount of your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
BMR is the amount of calories produced by the body automatically, even when we sleep all day. BMR values are affected by age, gender, weight, height and muscle mass.
Systematically, it can be formulated, as follows:
For women: 665 - (4.7 * age) + (4.7 * height) + (4:35 * weight)
For men: 66 - (6.8 * age) + (12.7 * height) + (6:23 * weight)
Step 2. Determine the amount of your calorie intake per day
In determining the right value of the calorie intake to lose weight, you have to adjust it with the routine you did. The more calories you burn from your activities, the more you have to eat.
Once you know the value of your BMR, the next step you have to calculate is the value of your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). The TDEE value is affected by the activities we did, for examples:
Extra active (training hard every day) = 1.9 * BMR
Very active (training hard 6-7 days a week) = 1725 * BMR
Moderately active (training hard 3-5 days a week) = 1.55 * BMR
Lightly active (training hard 1-5 days a week) = 1375 * BMR
Sedentary (almost no training / sport) = 1.2 * BMR
By using these values, then we can determine the right value of our calorie intake in order to lose weight. Systematically it can be formulated as follows:
Total calorie intake to lose weight = TDEE – (20% of your TDEE)
