The Vivofit comes in five colors: black, blue, purple, slate and teal, and two versions: with heart rate monitor and not. The Garmin vivofit with heart rate monitor is a pretty slim wristband. On the top is an always-on LCD screen to show the day and your statistics. Next to it is a push button, which you can use to easily switch through the different display screens.

The Garmin vivofit can also function as a regular watch to display the time of day. The screen is pretty easy to read in day light and the number is bigger compared to the Fitbit Force’s readout. However, there is no backlight, so you can not use it in a dark room.

The Garmin vivofit is actually a small pod that can you can click in and out of if you want to change the color. Since it comes with an ANT+, so you can pair it with a heart rate monitor to get more detailed information about your exercises. It also has an ANT+ USB dongle that you can use it to sync to a computer, in case you don’t have a smartphone that supports Bluetooth 4.0.
